Market Development Officer
Role Responsibility
We’re looking for the next member of our fantastic team that is driving a real change in social care, supporting people to develop brand new and exciting social care businesses across Kent.
Our Market Development Officers are passionate about connecting with local people and communities to help them develop their own small enterprises that offer really innovative care and support in their neighbourhood – and you could join them.
In this varied role you will develop great local networks, to discover what care and support people really want and then find local people who have the potential to set up their own care and support micro enterprises. You’ll help them through the steps of a development programme to create their own brand-new small businesses, which can deliver fresh ways for people who need care and support to choose what help will suit them best.
You may already have experience in care and support, or perhaps a background in community development or coaching?
If you’re a confident communicator with the energy and creativity to make new connections, have strong organisational skills and a talent for helping others grow, you could be just what we are looking for.
The Market Development Team works across the whole of Kent, so you’ll need to be able to travel a large geographical area on a regular basis.
Interviews will be conducted via Teams. Candidates will be asked to present a short presentation of no more than 10 minutes – the topic will be sent in advance when you are invited to interview. Presentations will be heard in the first 10 minutes of each interview followed by a questions from the panel.
