Learning Disability and Autism Programme Project Manager

The Role:

We are seeking 2 highly motivated and experienced Project Managers, on a 1 year fixed-term contract, to join our Learning Disability and Autism Programme. In this role, you will play a vital part in coordinating and facilitating partnerships between people with lived experiences and their networks, statutory agencies and community services, to enhance the quality of life and support available for individuals with learning disabilities and neurodivergent conditions.

You will be responsible for delivering the successful completion of projects from initiation to closure. This role involves coordinating and managing various aspects of project to ensure its objectives are met within the defined scope, budget, and timelines.

 

The Team:

The Learning Disability and Autism Programme is a collaborative team comprising professionals from Kent County Council, The Integrated Care Board (ICB), and Medway Council. This multi-agency team is dedicated to addressing the needs and supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autistic people within the region.

By combining the resources and knowledge of these organizations, the team aims to develop and implement effective strategies, policies, and services that promote inclusion, accessibility, and support for people with learning disabilities and neurodiverse conditions.

Through collaboration and coordination, the Learning Disability and Autism Programme team strives to improve outcomes, promote independence, and foster a more inclusive and understanding society for individuals and their families in the Kent and Medway areas.

 

Other Information:

We encourage hybrid working – a mixture of office work and working from home, as we recognise the benefits this has on colleagues and their work-life balance, needs of the service and ability to maximise their organisational skills, to support the families on their caseloads. We have a number of offices in the local area, where staff can work from when out in the Districts.

 

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
