Laboratory Assistant
Role Responsibility
Kent Scientific Services provides scientific support to various Kent County Council Services including testing of food and consumer products for Trading Standards and toxicology work for Her Majesty’s Coroners. We provide similar services to other Local Authorities and businesses.
This role will be based at Kings Hill, West Malling and will provide support to the laboratory staff.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of GCSE grade C (or grade 4) Maths, English and Chemistry or combined science.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
