Kent Safeguarding Children Multi-agency Partnership (KSCMP) Learning Development and Policy Adviser

Role Responsibility

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the KSCMP Business Support Team for a Learning Development and Policy Adviser. The Team supports Kent’s statutory Safeguarding Partnership to work together collaboratively to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children who live in Kent.

The Learning Development and Policy Adviser will be responsible for the KSCMP learning and development priorities and objectives. This includes L&D planning, training needs assessment, commissioning and the effective monitoring of training. The postholder will also be able to evaluate the impact of training to ensure its effectiveness.

The postholder will further provide independent expert policy advice and support to the Partnership Executive Board and its sub-groups. This will include providing advice on a range of policy issues with a focus on safeguarding children and related developments.

We are looking for a dynamic and confident individual who is self-motivated and has experience of working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be able to develop a range of training solutions to ensure that learning from safeguarding cases can be effectively understood by a range of audiences. They will also be able to identify and practically interpret the implications of legislation, regulation, guidance and good practice. The postholder will further have a good understanding of effective risk management.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a multi-agency environment and a good understanding of the safeguarding arena.
