Kent Pathways Service Support Worker

Role Responsibility

1 Year Temporary contract for a full-time Support Worker for West Kent Pathways Service.

KPS supports people from 16 years old who have Health and Social Care needs.

KPS provides short term outcome focussed support for up to 12 weeks. This enables people to reach their maximum potential in targeted areas of their life. KPS keeps the individuals at the centre of everything we do. KPS is fast paced and requires good organisational skills and the ability to write accurate records. You must be prepared to work evenings and weekends when required.

West KPS predominantly covers Maidstone, Malling and Tunbridge area but there is an expectation that you may be required to work in other areas as KPS covers the whole of Kent so the ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely manner is essential.

We want someone who has experience of working with individuals with a broad spectrum of needs in Social Care. You will need to be flexible, motivated, creative, and able to work autonomously. You will need to hold a level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

The Government is to introduce COVID-19 vaccination as a condition for all frontline health and social care workers in Spring 2022 This position has been identified as needing to comply with this. If you are the successful candidate you will need to provide evidence that you have received both first and second dose vaccinations, or are willing to take up the offer of receiving both doses or you can provide evidence of medical exemption.
