Kent Graduate Programme – Business Change Analyst Trainee

(Business Change)

Kent County Council

Start your analyst career improving the lives of 1.5m Kent residents

Whether its social care, education, transport or strategic planning; Kent County Council is always focused on improving lives. Join our Graduate Programme and you’ll ensure every pound in the county delivers better outcomes for residents, communities, and businesses. And we’ll guarantee you a permanent Business Change role here at the end of the two years.

The two-year Graduate Programme

As a Business Change Trainee, you’ll undertake several placements across the Council and help deliver live projects that have a tangible impact on people’s lives and our bottom line. There’ll also be many opportunities for you to bring fresh perspectives to our progressive and commercially-focused local authority. Ideas that add a new dimension to our high-quality, cost-effective services.

Working alongside experts in the field, you’ll learn to pinpoint areas for improvement, and design and implement solutions using different project methodologies. As well as building a network of contacts and developing a broad view of everything we do; you’ll also develop the ‘soft’ skills vital to driving these kinds of projects. We’ll support you through the Improvement Practitioner Apprenticeship qualification too.

Who can apply?

You’ll need to be a confident communicator and natural problem solver with at least a 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in any discipline and GCSEs in English and Maths (grades C or above). It’s also important you’re at home using analytical software like Excel. Bring a passion for the public sector too, and you could thrive here.
