Role Responsibility

Strategic External Partnerships 12-month Fixed Term/Secondment Opportunity – KEP Project Opportunities Manager

A fixed term/secondment opportunity starting in June/July has arisen for someone with Local Authority Asset Management and property portfolio knowledge and skills to work with KEP partners to deliver a project pipeline with draft project bids.

The Kent Estates Partnership (KEP) is part of the national One Public Estate Programme (OPE) which provides practical and technical support and funding to councils to deliver ambitious property-focused programmes in collaboration with central government and other public sector partners.

OPE has funded a fixed term role to work with the KEP partners to develop a project pipeline. KCC hosts the Programme Management Office (PMO) which supports the partnership, and this role will be part of this team. As all partners have limited resources for exploring speculative partnership opportunities this role will work across the county to identify projects and work in a multi-agency way to assess initial feasibility and draft project briefs.

The postholder will meet with all KEP partners to identify and develop a categorised list of potential partnership projects, develop project briefs and contribute to funding bids for OPE, Brownfield Land Release Fund (BLRF) and other funding opportunities.

We are looking for a someone with a good knowledge of and experience in Local Authority Asset Management and Property Portfolios.  You will be used to liaising with a broad range of colleagues in public sector organisations.  You will have strong project management and stakeholder management skills, as the successful candidate will need to engage with a wide range of external organisations.

Applications to be received by 5pm on Friday 24th June

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview w/c 11th July 2022.  If you are unable to make the date, please note this on your expression of interest with alternative dates.

We would like successful candidates to start as soon as possible, so please ensure your current line manager will support you in this secondment opportunity if you are successful.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss this opportunity further, then please contact Phillip Murphy
