Inspections and Insurance Investigation Officer

Role Responsibility

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our organisation, providing vital administrative support to the Highway Safety Inspections Team who are responsible for delivering proactive safety inspections of all highway assets across Kent.

You will provide a high level of customer service, be able to prioritise your own workload, work to tight deadlines, be methodical in your approach, use initiative and operate with a minimum of supervision. The work will be primarily concerned with providing administrative support to a team of Highway Safety Inspectors.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be involved in conducting insurance claims investigations by compiling reports, conducting site meetings and liaising with our legal representatives and third party solicitors.

You will need a high level of computer literacy and a good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications. This role provides a valuable opportunity to gain a grounding in various KCC systems and gain experience in the industry. Whilst previous experience of working within either a highway or investigatory sector would be of benefit, all necessary training will be provided but we anticipate that the successful candidate will exhibit a strong enthusiasm and eagerness for learning and skill enhancement.

This role is subject to holding a Full UK Driving Licence – The Council is committed to making reasonable adjustments so whilst this job requires the jobholder to drive your application will still be considered if you are unable to drive due to a disability.
