Insight & Campaigns Officer

Role Responsibility

We are looking for someone to join the friendly and enthusiastic Explore Kent team which lives and breathes the great outdoors and a love for Kent’s environment. 

You will be an analytical thinker and be able to research available data such as Getting Active Outdoors, Monitor for Engagement in the Natural Environment, Office for National Statistics, Public Health profiles, Kent Environment Public Perception Survey, Active Lives and Kent Country Parks Visitor Survey as well as Google Analytics to produce insight about how and why people access and appreciate Kent’s environment.

Your work will support the delivery of creative, high-impact, targeted campaigns for Explore Kent’s partners which include Kent Country Parks, Countryside Management Partnerships, Sport & Physical Activity, Sustainable Business Communities, Natural Environment & Heritage Conservation, using on and offline channels. As this post will work closely with Explore Kent’s partner services, the role will need to be able to provide a high quality insight and campaigns service and maintain excellent relationships with these key partners.

Explore Kent has award winning digital channels and you will have experience of campaigns and marketing including producing creative and engaging content for websites and social media channels as well as being able to support and enthuse a marketing apprentice.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

This post is based in Maidstone but there is also a satellite office in West Malling. However, the team is currently working from home fulltime and will be office working on some days from the Autumn. There is occasional evening and weekend work.
