Role Responsibility

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a second enthusiastic, intrepid registered nurse to work in the care sector to join our team supporting Care Settings (domiciliary care, other non-NHS care providers and care homes,) in Kent.

Kent has an estimated population of 1,581,600 with approximately 480 residential care homes, 119 nursing homes plus domiciliary care providers totalling approximately 850 registered providers.

You will be required to be adaptable with excellent interpersonal and communication skills for dynamic, changing situations.

Proactive place-based locality working has enabled the care system to be supported where there has been exposure to or outbreak of covid cases in the residential care sector. Identification and provision of the specialist infection control advice needs to be more seamless and accessible which this post will lead targeting support to domiciliary care initially.

You will advise, support, and oversee infection prevention and control in relation to the management of outbreaks in all care settings, working collaboratively with, and supported by the infection control leads within the Clinical Commissioning Group, the director or consultant in Public Health and guidance with the hospital trust Infection prevention teams. You will be part of the Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group and the evolving Integrated Care System.
