Housing and Health Project Officer

Role Responsibility

This unique post works with Kent Housing Group and Kent Public Health to support excellent partnerships working and delivering housing and health projects in Kent.

It is a fast-paced role in the small Kent Housing Group team and Kent Public Health service that will deliver objectives of the Kent and Medway Housing Strategy, the Housing, Health, and Social Care subgroup’s work plan, and other matters relating to housing and health. Your focus will be on helping Kent Housing Group members, including local authorities and housing associations, and wider partners to understand each other’s roles and ways of working, share best practices, and deliver projects to give better outcomes for Kent residents.

You will be an excellent partnership worker, both relationship and outcome-focused, with experience working with a range of stakeholders. You will have a working knowledge of housing, health, or social care and working with vulnerable groups. You will carry out desktop research and collate and display data providing explanations to support decision-making and reports. You will be part of a group identifying training needs and planning suitable webinars and events to meet Kent Housing Group members’ needs. Although many meetings will be virtual you will also be able to attend meetings around Kent.
