Highways Enforcement Officer
Role Responsibility
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Highways Team for a one year fixed term contract to become a Highways Enforcement Officer. The role is to cover an existing secondment that is likely to be come permanent. The role will work across a specific geographical area to support Highway Asset Management (HAM) teams in the management of more challenging enforcement cases/issues and ensure a consistency of enforcement approach across other routine highway enforcement throughout Kent to ensure that the highway is available and safe for all users.
The ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is essential.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
