Role Responsibility
Bluebells Short Breaks Unit provides overnight short breaks for children and young people who have learning disabilities and/or complex health needs from the age of five until their eighteenth birthday.
We are seeking a motivated Handyperson to maintain the building and grounds to a high standard. You will be required to undertake tasks such as painting and decorating, maintaining the fixtures and fittings of the building, gardening, and undertaking relevant checks in line with Health and Safety requirements.
Full training will be provided during the induction period and other relevant training will be undertaken as required.
You will possess a sound knowledge of how to use a wide range of basic tools and equipment. However, training can be provided.
Interviews will be conducted under the ‘Choosing with Care’ assessment process.
This post involves working closely with children and is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
