Role Responsibility

If you’re a talented graduate looking for an opportunity to attend certified training and develop technical skills in a supportive environment, you could be the next Graduate Power Platform Developer in our Technology Division.

You’ll be involved in the development, testing and operation of Microsoft 365 solutions, supporting the team on the Council’s digital-first vision to deliver efficiency and better user experience for our staff and residents. Reporting to our Technology Innovation Manager, you’ll be a part of a multi-disciplinary team, delivering technological solutions from analysis and design to development and testing.

About You

You’ll have a 2:1 degree or equivalent qualification in any discipline, and GCSE Grade A-C (4) or above in English Language and Maths.  A willingness to work towards a Software Developer apprenticeship is essential, as is a commitment to further professional development.  Crucially, you’ll have experience using spreadsheets and working to a structured methodology, with knowledge about information security, user experience and software testing processes.

You’ll be a deft communicator, able to work with others and on your own initiative to run tests, assess information and help to fix faults. But you won’t do it alone. This role involves shadowing others to learn and build on your own knowledge, and we offer plenty of support to start your exciting graduate career.
