Fostering Senior Practitioner - West Fostering Support Team

Role Responsibility

Make a difference in children’s lives as a Senior Practitioner with Kent Fostering. Based at Worrall house, West Malling, this full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary and retention payment.

You’ll join a passionate, forward-thinking team in West Kent, focused on strengthening our foster carer community and improving outcomes for children in care- including those with disabilities. In this key role, you’ll provide expert supervision, training, and emotional support to foster carers and their families, helping them understand and respond to the complex needs of the children they care for.

You’ll also work alongside fostering assessment teams to recruit and retain carers.  In addition, you will play a key role in mentoring and supporting less experienced colleagues and social work students—sharing your knowledge to help shape the next generation of practitioners.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service and registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England.

This role is subject to holding a Full UK Driving Licence – The Council is committed to making reasonable adjustments so whilst this job requires the jobholder to drive your application will still be considered if you are unable to drive due to a disability.
