Fostering Review team Senior Practitioner
Role Responsibility
Kent Fostering has a clear vision for the increased recruitment of foster carers from the local community. It is our ambition to enhance our support offer to Kent Foster Carers and improve our retention, building their skills and knowledge to safeguard our children and achieve positive outcomes and placement stability for them.
It is therefore an exciting and challenging time to be working in the field of Fostering. You will have an opportunity to be joining a team whose goals are to increase placement stability and improve practice across the fostering service. In this role you will chair Foster Carer Review meetings across the county, working closely with the fostering support teams. The role requires you to have a clear focus on foster carers development and training, recognising achievements within the review process alongside identifying areas for improvement. The role includes challenging practice to ensure compliance with the National Minimum Standards and Fostering Regulations.
As a Senior Practitioner you will work alongside the Team Manager and other colleagues in identifying, planning and delivering the core tasks of the reviewing team to a high professional standard. You will also have the ability to supervise and support student social worker’s and other social work staff as required.
