Financial Assessment Officer

Role Responsibility

We are looking to recruit within our Financial Assessment and Income Unit. The position of Financial Assessment Officer is based in either Broadstairs or Maidstone however, we undertake hybrid working, meaning that we work from home and the office, depending on business needs. The position available is permanent, part time, 24 hours per week.

This postholder provides the front-facing role for the accurate completion of means tested financial assessments for people who are receiving services covering Adult Social Care. You will establish how much they need to pay towards the cost of their care. You will make sure they fully understand how their contribution towards the cost of care and support has been calculated and how to pay.

You must be positive, engaging, adaptable to change, and possess excellent organisational, numeracy and communication skills. You will be able to demonstrate compassion and knowledge when working with people in order to quickly build rapport whilst calculating charges for care in a professional, diplomatic and supportive manner.

You will be provided with a comprehensive training program so that you are able to deliver the requirements of this role.
