Financial Assessment & Benefits Team Manager

Role Responsibility

Temporary Full Time Contract - 12 Months

We are looking to recruit to multiple positions within our Financial Assessment and Income Unit. The position of Financial Assessment & Benefits Team Manager is based in Broadstairs however, we undertake hybrid working, meaning that we work from home and the office, depending on business needs.

Working within a very busy team responsible for the financial assessment of vulnerable adults who are receiving care services within Kent, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of a team of Officers. You will provide a comprehensive Financial Assessment & Benefits service on behalf of the Council, in accordance with statutory requirements, best practice and the Council's policies and procedures. You will assist in the management and development of the team.

You will be positive, engaging, adaptable to change, and possess excellent organisational, numeracy and communication skills. You will have experience of working in a target led environment together with the management of staff.

If you are flexible, adaptable, can work under pressure, have a background working in the field of welfare benefits and hold all the necessary skills, experience, and knowledge, and are prepared to go the extra mile, then this is an excellent opportunity for you to work within a dynamic and developing environment.
