Family Hubs Participation & Engagement Worker
Role Responsibility
We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join our Kent Family Hub team as a Participation and Engagement Worker. In this role, you will lead and support a wide range of consultation and engagement activities with families, children, and young people across Kent.
You will work closely with parents, carers, and young people, particularly those from underrepresented or seldom-heard communities to ensure their voices are heard and reflected in the design and delivery of Family Hub services. This involves facilitating both in-person and digital engagement through platforms such as Let’s Talk Kent and KCC social media, and supporting families to provide meaningful feedback.
We are seeking someone with experience of working with families and young people, especially those who may face barriers to engagement. You should be confident in planning and delivering inclusive engagement activities and be committed to promoting equity and co-production in public services.
Ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is essential.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in how services are shaped and delivered in Kent. You will be part of a supportive and innovative team that values creativity, collaboration, and community voice.
This is a fixed-term role until 31 March 2026 and offers a hybrid working arrangement.
This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
Interviews are currently scheduled for Thursday 24 July 2025.
