About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity within Maidstone for a Family hub Support Worker (working with 0-11 year olds and parents) to join our Team.
Based at a Family Hub in Maidstone, you will be working with children and families from a range of backgrounds, therefore the ability to engage with service users in their own environment is essential – this may be at a Hub, school or in the community.
The Family Hub Team provide information, advice, support and opportunities, as well as fun activities, for the children and families that use our service.
We are always developing our targeted services and work closely with our colleagues in Early Help and Social Care.
This role is for 37 hours a week and has a starting salary of £23,338.
Comprehensive training opportunities both mandatory and non-mandatory are offered for individual and team development.
About you:
Your ability to understand and communicate effectively with service users in the 0-11 age group and their parents/carers will be important, and knowledge of Early Years Development and perinatal support as well as a willingness to get beside families and encourage them.
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
