Engagement, Skills & Training Coordinator

We are looking for a candidate to fill the role of Engagement, Skills & Training Coordinator for the Financial Hardship Programme, Strategic & Corporate Services – Strategy, Policy, Relationships and Corporate Assurance (ST – SPRCA). Please see the attached job description. The role is to be based at Sessions House in Maidstone, however due to Coronavirus, you will initially be expected to work from home.
For internal applications this would be a Secondment opportunity.
The Role
This is a newly created role, supporting the Digital Lead (Inclusion and Capability) and brand-new Engagement Team to deliver engagement and skills sessions and interventions across the county, which is part of a programme of complex projects.
You will be expected to liaise with colleagues within KCC and partners outside KCC. Ensuring that the project is delivered effectively and under an effective communication strategy, to the required standard within the agreed deadlines and provide support across other projects and strands of work if needed.
The Team
We are recruiting a brand-new team that will engage, inspire and motivate residents and businesses to be more socially and digitally inclusive, by delivering group and one-to-one sessions within the community, building partnerships and networks of organisations that share our vision and purpose, as well as recruit volunteers to join a network.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity, and you don’t need to be a digital/technical genius to excel in this role.

This role is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
