Enablement Supervisor
Role Responsibility
Kent Enablement at Home (KEaH) provide domiciliary-based short term enablement service across Kent. We are looking to recruit an Enablement Supervisor to work in a busy role delivering enablement services to people in their own homes.
If you have experience within health and social care, we would love to hear from you. We are offering the opportunity to join a friendly, dynamic and supportive team which promotes professional development.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has the ability to work well under pressure and manage a variety of conflicting priorities.
This post is based at Canterbury for our Kent Enablement at Home team and is vital, to ensuring that the busy team can support as many adults as possible with short term enablement services in the community.
We are looking for motivated and proactive people, who want to make a difference to the community, within a team that work collaboratively with internal and external partners and focuses on promoting a person’s independence. The successful applicant also needs to be flexible in their approach and ready to embrace new ways of working to help further shape our services.
The role requires you to manage a caseload of people using the service (including enablement/assessment provision) to support the people using our service in establishing SMART Enablement goals and in identifying the correct level of need and the outcomes required, and to enable the people using our service to maintain their independence.
The Enablement Supervisor is responsible for providing practice monitoring, supervision and training to a team of Enablement Support Workers in the community and monitoring the quality of service provided, as well as ensuring that staff work in a healthy and safe environment. The role will require you to work closely with Occupational Therapy and Case Management colleagues to ensure assessments are holistic and all opportunities are maximised.
The successful candidate requires excellent communication skills both verbal and written and good ICT literacy as the post involves daily use of computerised systems.
A Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 or the willingness to work towards it.
The ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is essential. You should note that public transport is rarely a viable option as your role will involve travelling to rural areas, often with limited public transport.
