Kent Enablement at Home (KEaH) provide domiciliary-based short term enablement service across Kent. We are looking to recruit an Enablement Supervisor to work in a busy role delivering enablement services to people in their own homes.

This post is based at Joynes House, Gravesend for our Kent Enablement at Home team and is vital, to ensuring that the busy team can support as many adults as possible with short term enablement services in the community. 

We are looking for motivated and proactive people, who want to make a difference to the community, within a team that work collaboratively with internal and external partners and focuses on promoting a persons independence. You will  also need to be flexible in your approach and ready to embrace new ways of working to help further shape our services. 

The role requires you to manage a caseload of clients requiring domiciliary services (including enablement/assessment provision) to support our clients in establishing SMART Enablement goals and in identifying the correct level of need and the outcomes required, and to enable clients to maintain their independence. 

The Enablement Supervisor is responsible for providing practice monitoring, supervision and training to a team of Enablement Support Workers in the community and monitoring the quality of service provided, as well as ensuring that staff work in a healthy and safe environment. The role will require you to work closely with Occupational Health and Case Management colleagues to ensure assessments are holistic and all opportunities are maximised. 

You will require excellent communication skills both verbal and written and good ICT literacy as the post involves daily use of computerised systems. 

A Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 is desired or the willingness to work towards it.  

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service. 

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. 

The ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is essential. You should note that public transport is rarely a viable option as your role will involve travelling to rural areas, often with limited public transport.
