Early Help Support Worker - Youth

Role Responsibility

Are you hardworking, committed, and passionate about helping young people and their families improve their outcomes? If so, we need you!  We offer an attractive package of 26 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays, appealing pension, and the Kent Rewards Scheme. In addition to this, we offer opportunities for training and development.

We have an exciting opportunity within Sevenoaks for an Early Help Support Worker to join our Youth Team.

Based at Sevenoaks Youth Hub, you will be working with young people from a range of backgrounds, therefore the ability to engage with young people in their own environment is essential - this may be at the Hub or Outreach Youth Groups anywhere in the Maidstone Sevenoaks area.

We need someone fun, inspiring, and motivating that can encourage young people to bring out the best in themselves, this can happen through any activity whether it's sports, games, Duke of Edinburgh, group work, trips, cooking etc!

Comprehensive training opportunities both mandatory and non-mandatory are offered for individual and team development.

Your ability to understand and communicate effectively with young people in the 8-25 age group will be important, and previous experience of working with young people or community groups would be an essential skill as well as a willingness to get beside young people and encourage them.

Your hobbies will also be of equal use whether you are a keen sports player, artist, dancer, or musician.

Various part time hours considered, please note these hours will predominantly be evenings and weekends.
