Driver / Warehouse Person

Role Responsibility

We are seeking applications for a Driver/Warehouse Person within the Kent Libraries, Registration and Archives (LRA) transport team.

As part of this hybrid role the successful applicant will spend part of the week delivering books and other materials to LRA premises, residential homes, and prisons across the county.

Days not driving will be spent sorting incoming stock and post for distribution, maintaining warehouse health and safety standards, and supporting the Stock and Specialist Services team with manual handling.

This is a permanent full-time position of 37 hours per week, based at our central distribution point in Aylesford.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
