Domestic Assistant

Role Responsibility

Whitstable Road, Canterbury Domestic assistant

We have a vacancy for a 15-hour domestic Assistant at one of our smaller residential services in Canterbury Kent.  The hours will be 5 days a week with a start time of 10am each day (flexibility with this will be considered at interview).

The role will be to ensure that all areas of the home are clean, tidy and presentable, creating a positive and safe environment for the people staying in service, visitors and staff. You will also be expected to maintain relevant records relating to this.

Whitstable Road is one of our smaller residential services that supports up to 5 people for overnight stays. The people who stay will have an eligible care and support need under the Care Act and may present with a learning disability, physical disabilities, autism, behaviours that challenge or sensory impairments.

The service is Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered and so part of your role will be to work with the manager and team to ensure the service is compliant.

We expect you to have a knowledge of Health and Safety regulations including COSHH, Infection Control, and safeguarding, however full training will be given during induction period and other relevant training will be undertaken as required.
