Domestic Assistant

Role Responsibility

Broadmeadow is a care centre that provides short term placements, assisting people to regain their independence and meet their aims and objectives.

Working in care can be flexible. Your hours are based on shift patterns, so you can find a work/life balance that suits you. You will be expected to work a rota pattern that includes weekends.

We have two domestic assistant part-time vacancies available (hours to be discussed at interview). Your day-to-day duties will include the cleaning of service user’s bedrooms and communal areas within the home, completing deep cleans following service user discharges, laundry tasks and completing enhanced sanitising tasks as part of our rigorous infection control procedure.  

Covid-19 Mandatory Vaccinations - In line with government legislation, all colleagues who work in a CQC registered care home or will need to attend such a setting as a fundamental part of their role, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This role has been deemed in scope of this legislation and therefore to be considered for the role you must confirm on application you are fully vaccinated, or that you are exempt. Evidence of vaccination or exemption will be required as part of the pre-employment checks KCC will undertake on you.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a good command of spoken English, sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
