Directorate Business Officer

Role Responsibility

We are pleased to announce the opportunity for a KR10 Directorate Business Officer for an 18 month fixed term contract, to be part of the Business Delivery Unit within the Adult Social Care and Health Directorate. Adult Social Care and Health is embarking on its innovation change programme Making a Difference Everyday (MADE) and this is a great opportunity to join us in this journey.

The Business Delivery Unit (BDU) supports the business to deliver high quality outcomes for the people of Kent. The unit helps to set the Strategic direction and priorities, shaping the future for the Directorate. The successful postholder will sit within the Directorate Business & Planning team and play a significant role in supporting the Directors, and their management team, to carry out their strategic activities in a coordinated and planned way.

This post is suited to someone with outstanding communication and organisational skills. This is a busy and varied role and suited to someone who can demonstrate the capacity to cope with a wide variety of tasks, adapting to change and dealing with matters of urgency. You will be expected to lead by example, prioritise and process tasks in a timely and accurate manner. You will take ownership on carrying out tasks on behalf of the management team and providing assurance on matters of importance. IT literacy and digital skills are a must, the ability to demonstrate, embed and develop these skills within the team and business are important to driving us forward.

Please note this role would normally be based at Maidstone but due to Coronavirus, the successful applicant will initially be expected to work from home.
