Director of Adults and Integrated Commissioning

Role Responsibility

Kent is a place called home for nearly 1.6 million people. As a County Council we are focused on delivering our Framing Kent’s Future Strategy, launched in 2022 setting out our four key priorities: Levelling up Kent, Infrastructure for Communities, Environmental Step Change and New models of Care and support.

For this new role we want a Director who will work with us and our partners to seize the important opportunities to work differently to bring our ambitions to life, shaping this new role for our County Council. You will provide inclusive strategic leadership and direction for commissioning across our people services, encompassing adult social care, children’s social care and public health services. As an integrated service, you will work in partnership across our system, including those within the Kent and Medway ICS and wider voluntary sector. Kent is home to the largest Integrated Care Board in the country.

As a leader in Kent, you will be ambitious to take on one of the biggest commissioning roles in the country, supported by what you have successfully delivered in the past. Leaders who succeed in Kent are those who lead with compassion and confidence, and who are not afraid to challenge the status quo.
