From highways through to public transport, you’ll be accountable for leading and directing our strategic transport priorities. Ambitious and forward-thinking, you’ll develop and implement transport-related strategies ranging from the revised Local Transport Plan through to the Kent Rail Strategy and National Bus Strategy.
Effective engagement with local and national partners as well as within the council will ensure our priorities are understood and supported.
Your in-depth knowledge of overcoming strategic challenges and handling operational realities will be aided by a high level of personal resilience.
With your experience of working at a senior strategic level within a complex organisation, you’ll make effective use of the council’s budget, resources and policies in driving change and delivering high quality , accessible services. So, you won’t just enhance the council’s reputation – you’ll enhance the reputation of Kent overall.
