Digital Marketing and Communications Officer

Role Responsibility

Starting salary: £28,995                                 Contract: Fixed Term Full Time

Number of Hours: 37 hours per week             Contract Ends: 31st March 2027

Location(s): Active Kent & Medway, Worrall House, 30 Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent, (travel required throughout Kent) NB: Hybrid working re: office and home working

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Active Kent & Medway as a Digital Marketing and Communications Officer.

The role will deliver the digital marketing and communication aspects of Active Kent & Medway’s operational and marketing plans, in support of the countywide strategy for sport and physical activity, Move Together and our flagship behaviour change campaign Everyday Active. It will involve creating copy and content to help us to better engage with target audiences and champion the benefits of sport and physical activity.

The role provides a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience of professional digital marketing and communications across multiple channels, with strong organisations skills and an ability to work on a variety of projects and campaigns at the same time.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
