Digital Lead (Digital Inclusion & Capability)
Role Responsibility
We are looking for a candidate to fill the role of Digital Lead (Digital Inclusion & Capability), Strategic & Corporate Services - Strategy, Policy, Relationships and Corporate Assurance (ST- SPRCA). Please see attached job description. The role is to be based at Sessions House Maidstone, but please note that due to Coronavirus, you will initially be expected to work from home. For internal applicants this would be a Secondment opportunity.
The Role
This new role supports the work of the Financial Hardship Task & Finish Group. The purpose of the role is to lead, manage and deliver a range of complex projects relating to improving digital inclusion and digital capability. You will be expected to liaise with colleagues within KCC and partners outside of KCC, utilise project management methodologies to ensure that all projects are delivered effectively and under an effective communications strategy, to the required standard within the agreed deadlines, and represent KCC to government departments where required. Furthermore, you will be required to champion and promote initiatives to encourage digital inclusion and digital capability, working with the Financial Hardship Task & Finish Group. You will provide expertise on digital innovation and advances in digital technology to support digital inclusion and digital capability.
You will be required to have substantial experience of working in the local government sector and substantial experience of managing major projects relating to digital inclusion and digital capability and/or financial hardship or similar. Sound knowledge of technical developments, innovation and advances in digital technology to promote digital inclusion and digital capability are also essential.
