Cycle Instructor

Role Responsibility

Term Time Only – 38 Weeks

We are looking to recruit additional people to our Cycle Instructor team. The primary role is to deliver National Standard cycle training, also known as ‘Bikeability’, in order to reduce pedal cyclist road casualties and promote cycling in general.

The training provides a basic skills, off-road course (Level 1), on-road training course (Level 2) and an advanced skills course (Level 3) to children and adults.

Are you passionate about cycling and eager to inspire the next generation of cyclists? Look no further! We’re seeking enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join our team as Bikeability Cycle Instructors.

- Bikeability is today’s cycle training program, equipping participants with practical skills and knowledge to confidently navigate today’s roads.

- Our team provides cycle training to over 4,000 children in Kent annually thereby showing them the freedom and enjoyment of cycling whilst maximising their safety.

We are seeking to bolster our experienced team with up to a further 10 Instructors on 'term-time only, 3 days per week contracts' in order to meet the increasing demand for Cycle training from schools and other organisations.

Various locations across Kent but specifically looking for people living in : Thanet, Swale, Dartford, Gravesham, Ashford, Folkestone, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and West Malling

Responsibilities:

- Deliver engaging and effective cycle training sessions to children and adults.

- Instill safe cycling practices, road awareness, and confidence in participants.

- Adapt training methods to cater to diverse age groups and skill levels.

- Foster a love for cycling and promote active lifestyles.

Qualifications/Experience:

- Proficient and confident cycling skills.

- Passion for working with children and promoting cycling.
