CUSTOMER SUPPORT ASSISTANT - Grade KR3 - 1 Vacancy
Based at Headcorn Library
Part-Time 29 hours per week
Our Library Service has a lot more to offer than just books. With reading groups, talks and exhibitions, it offers a range of activities for every age group – from Baby Bounce and Rhyme sessions to internet classes for older people.
To deliver all this, we need the right people serving our customers. While relevant experience would come in handy, it isn’t essential – it’s much more important that you’re friendly, outgoing and approachable. We have a vacancy for a part-time Customer Support Assistant and if you enjoy working as part of a team, have a friendly helpful attitude to the Public and are interested in delivering services to the Community we would welcome a call from you.

The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The successful applicant will have good interpersonal skills, feel comfortable meeting the public and be able to undertake a diverse range of tasks, often simultaneously.
The hours per week are worked across a range of hours including late finishes and weekend working. The role will also involve work at Maidstone library and Maidstone District libraries on occasion.
