A Kent County Council Apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to earn a real salary and gain a real qualification whilst gaining valuable workplace skills and experience. An opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice to join the Tonbridge District team within Kent Libraries Registration and Archives.

This is a great opportunity to gain a Level 2 qualification in Customer Service whilst working for a large, diverse, rapidly changing organisation.

Our Library Service has a lot more to offer than just books. With reading groups, talks and exhibitions, it offers a range of activities for every age group – from Baby Bounce and Rhyme sessions to internet classes for older people.

As a library and archives apprentice your work will cover all aspects of work within a library; assisting customers with their enquiries, maintaining the tidiness of the library, organising and promoting events and activities taking place at the library, using ICT systems to book appointments and maintain records.

We are looking for someone with the right attitude who is motivated and keen to learn quickly. If this sounds like you, then we would like to encourage you to apply.
