Customer Relations Assistant - Gravesend Adult Education Centre - Temporary Role
Role Responsibility
Temporary Part Time - up to 6 months
Our Adult Education centres host tutors and students from Kent Adult Education and Kent Training and Apprenticeships along with external companies hiring our spaces.
Your role will be to act as the main point of contact between CLS and our customers. You’ll be providing information and guidance on our courses and services, enrolling onto courses, managing student data, setting up classrooms for teaching and ensuring a safe learning environment. There will be a mix of telephone, email and face to face communication. The role is interesting and varied and we need somebody who can work under their own initiative.
You should have good customer service, sales and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to collate and manage information.
Applicants will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and be willing to learn to use our bespoke management information system.
The post requires a flexible working approach, and we endeavour to be flexible in return. The working pattern will have variable hours and include Saturday and evening hours (up to 10pm) as required. The ability to travel to other centres in the hub in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is required.
You will possess Level 2 or GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
