Job Description
Job Title: Creative Artworker
Responsible to: Head of Marketing & Sales
Location: Head Office, Sittingbourne
Brief overview:
Working within the Marketing team, you will provide skilled and technically accurate input and support on all aspects of design and artwork production.
Skills and Experience:
Excellent CS skills – particularly in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
A portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of both print and digital based work and clients
Good quality retouching skills
Good typography and layout skills
Accuracy – in everything
Close attention to detail
Good verbal and written communication skills
Core Responsibilities:
To edit and prepare print ready artwork across a range of media including, brochure, adverts and web banners.
To develop design projects to a high standard being responsible for your part of the design brief including liaising with the Marketing team and internal Clients and requesting advice, proof checks or stage development meetings where necessary to ensure it meets client expectations and always before final approval/delivery.
To understand and work within brand and corporate guidelines.
To provide high quality retouching of images and photography.
To use your experience and knowledge to identify and resolve design, artwork and print challenges.
To work together with the Marketing and digital teams and the client office to exceed client expectations, delivering high quality work on time every time.
To communicate progress at every stage of the design and artwork process for the smooth running of work and planning schedules.
To understand the organisation’s quality management and file management systems and employ a methodical approach to archive management and file organisation.
To provide the business with best value by estimating and managing time accurately ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality.
To produce dummies, mock-ups and presentation boards to a high level of finish for internal and external presentation.
To take responsibility for continuous personal development and learning, helping to identify objectives and opportunities for skills development.
To make available detailed project notes to assist in the smooth handover of work during a foreseeable absence.
To complete and submit timesheets on a daily basis job description Creative Artworker.
Qualifications:
A degree or HND in Design/Graphics or equivalent.
Experience:
Experience of working within an in-house graphics or publicity department or agency.
Key objectives:
To ensure all work is 100% accurate with no spelling or typographical errors and no design/layout mistakes.
To work systematically to the brief guidelines and ensure that work is checked by the Marketing Team and internal Client before being released.
To be solely responsible, where appropriate for the management of smaller projects, guiding the client with regard to design, presentation and paper requirements and ensuring the quality of the final product.
