The Kent & Medway Coroner Service is moving into a new multi-court and office complex and Kent County Council has a vacancy in the management team as we drive to become a flagship service.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Coroner Service Supervisor to lead the team of KCC coroners officers and court ushers to ensure the day to day functioning of the coroners office and courts runs smoothly. Working closely with the wider management team you will plan and problem solve to deliver continuity of the coroners office and court activity.
The successful candidate will have access to the full range of training and development opportunities to develop the coroner service specific knowledge and understanding to manage the unique and interesting situations that may arise that you may not experience in other supervisory roles.
The role is full time and based in Maidstone, the service and courts operate Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, by the nature of the role there is limited remote working available but some remote working may be supported subject to service need. You will also need to attend training or provide advice and support when required outside of these hours and if required to participate in the duty manager rota.

Ability to meet the requirements of the service including occasional out of hours and bank holiday working is required.
