Contract and Compliance Officer
Role Responsibility
Based at Invicta House, Maidstone – Hybrid working with travel required across Kent
Would you like to play an important role in helping to deliver high quality waste services for communities across Kent
We are looking for a confident and motivated professional to join our Resource Management and Circular Economy team as a Contracts and Compliance Officer.
You will oversee the day to day performance of our waste contractors, ensure services run safely and in line with legislation and respond to operational issues with calmness and professionalism. You will act as a trusted point of contact for providers and partners and will help to resolve complex issues with empathy and sound judgement.
This is a varied and rewarding role that brings together contract management, relationship building, compliance monitoring and problem solving. You will carry out site visits, undertake inspections, prepare reports, analyse service performance and work with colleagues to shape improvements. You will also support commissioning and procurement activity by contributing to specifications, reviewing information and supporting tender evaluation.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with a wide range of people, communicates clearly and brings a practical and positive approach to problem solving. Experience in waste management, compliance, contract management or a related field would be an advantage.
