Contract Support Officer
Role Responsibility
Kent County Council is looking for a Contracts Support Officer to join our Contracts and Commissioning Team within Highways and Transportation. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery and compliance of major highway contracts that help keep Kent's roads safe and well maintained for residents, businesses, and visitors.The vacancy is for a full-time (37 hours a week), 12 month secondment (for internal KCC candidates) or a 12 month Fixed Term Contract for external candidates.
As a Contracts Support Officer, you will provide high-quality administrative, project, and contract support to ensure our Highway Maintenance and Professional Services contracts operate effectively and remain contractually compliant. You will work closely with senior managers, project managers, contractors, and stakeholders across the organisation to help monitor performance, coordinate contract activities, and support informed decision-making.
This is a varied role offering the opportunity to develop expertise in contract management, performance monitoring, governance, and stakeholder engagement.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
