Role Responsibility

We are looking for a full time Contact Assessment Officer to join our Area Referral Management Service (ARMS). The position will be based at Joynes House, Gravesend, but you will work from home during the Covid recovery period. Please note the working days are Monday to Friday 8:30-5:00.

The service is very busy due to the nature of the work undertaken and therefore you must be resilient and able to work well under pressure as well as being comfortable speaking to people by telephone and inputting information into our client database.

Contacts are received from the public, partner agencies and other organisations who are seeking advice, support, and guidance from Adult Social Care. You will need to have experience of working for Adult Social Care or a related organisation and with vulnerable adults. You will be expected to process and respond to enquiries and establish information to assist you in making a decision on the next steps for the contact. It is essential that you are able to communicate effectively with the public, take and record accurate information and to navigate IT systems.

For more information about our service please watch the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-Ltgkc-y4U&feature=youtu.be

You will need to have an understanding of Adult Safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act and Data Protection.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the ARMS Team and in return, you will be part of a vibrant team, receive regular supervision from a Senior Contact Assessment Officer and will be encouraged to develop both professionally and personally and grow your knowledge base.
