Community and Domestic Energy Support Officer

Role Responsibility

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Community and domestic Energy Support Officer’s to work within the Energy Team. We are looking for someone who is keen to demonstrate their experience working in an environment, climate change, or energy related role, preferably within local communities.

The role will undertake a range of specific project activity to support the delivery of energy advice relating to community and domestic energy efficiency and generation projects within the Kent Environment Strategy and the Kent and Medway Energy and Low Emissions strategy. This will include working with public and private sector partners and engaging with local communities.

The role will also require data and evidence gathering, report writing, engaging with partners and customers, and supporting the co-ordination and implementation of a range of specific projects at a local and county level.

This full-time role will benefit from hybrid working options with a mixture of working from the office and from home. The office base will be Invicta House, Maidstone. 

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
