Community Team Manager
Role Responsibility
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a community adult social care team.
You will work as part of the West Kent Area Management Team to support with the delivery of Adult Social Care within the Maidstone East Community Team, building partnerships, market shaping, ensuring safe, caring services, and developing practice.
This is a key role to ensure effective delivery of services, using an understanding of the changing demographic profile of adults and how to manage increasingly complex demands within an extremely challenging financial environment.
The successful candidates will need to demonstrate their ability to meet the conditions of the job description specification and will also be able to lead, develop, and inspire staff to deliver high quality services.
Throughout the interview process candidates will be asked to set out how they are able to:
- Improve performance and quality of outcome.
- Oversee the safe, effective, and legal delivery of services in the context of a very challenging budget situation.
- Manage recruitment and retention challenges.
- Provide accountability and oversight of the quality and timeliness of the area’s response to complaints and enquiries.
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service and registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England.
This role is subject to holding a Full UK Driving Licence – The Council is committed to making reasonable adjustments so whilst this job requires the jobholder to drive your application will still be considered if you are unable to drive due to a disability.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
