Community Development Officer (Sport and Physical Activity).

Role Responsibility

Fixed Term Full Time until 31st March 2027

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and self-motivated individual to join the Active Kent and Medway team as a Community Development Officer (Sport and Physical Activity).

It is an exciting time for our organisation, we have recently rebranded from Kent Sport and launched Move Together, a new countywide strategy to support more people, to be more active, more often.

The ideal candidate will have experience in community development, and a passion for sport and physical activity. You will be able to support us in working more closely with the voluntary and community sector, and create successful partnerships with sport and physical activity providers, to help us better understand and serve the needs of Kent’s communities. Hosted by Kent County Council, we are a collaborative and supportive team and one of the most successful Active Partnerships in the country. We are looking for someone committed to our mission of changing lives through sport and physical activity.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
