Communication and Support Officer (Pensions)
Role Responsibility
We have one vacancy for the post of KR8 Communication & Support Officer (Pensions) to join Kent County Council’s Pensions Section, for Kent Pension Fund. The role is permanent, full-time (37 hours a week), we also welcome part-time candidates willing to work a minimum of 24 hours a week. The primary location for this role is Maidstone, Kent, the successful candidate will undertake hybrid working (both home and office working, according to business needs). We welcome applications from both internal and external applicants.
You will work within our large and established Pensions Section, in the Communication and Support Team. You will be responsible for promoting and facilitating effective communications and relationships between the Kent Pension Fund, its scheme employers, members, media, and other stakeholders. You will have a good working knowledge of Local Government Pensions Schemes (LGPS), pension administration systems and an awareness of pensions year end employer processes. This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
