Communication and Engagement Officer - Farming in Protected Landscapes and Visitor Services and Event Officer

Role Responsibility

Kent Country Parks have 2 exciting opportunities.  This could be two part time posts or one full time post. 

3 days a week you will be delivering the Farming in Protected Landscape bid outcomes within the Country Parks that are in the Kent Downs AONB. Focused on engaging with local, diverse and new audiences through events, media and environmental education, you will have a good understanding of the natural environment as well as excellent skills in communication, engagement as well as experience in the delivery of environmental education and public events and activities.

2 days a week are based at Trosley Country Park delivering  the duty managers role, excellent customer service and fun events.  You will be responsible for banking, smooth running of venue hire and the development and delivery of public events.  You will need to have experience in a leisure services or customer facing role within excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.

The roles can be applied for separately or as one full time role.  Some flexible and weekend working.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
