Communication Support Officer

Role Responsibility

The Virtual School Kent Participation Team has a new vacancy for a full time Communications Support Officer within Integrated Children’s Services.

The Participation Team has responsibilities to support and encourage meaningful participation and engagement of children and young people who are in care, young care leavers, and others who come under other specified cohorts across Integrated Children’s Services in CYPE.

This is an exciting new role that will support the work of the Participation Team to ensure that young people’s views and feedback are front and centre in everything we do through a variety of media platforms.

You will have a keen interest (professionally or personally) in film making and editing, social media applications, and website content and design. You will be able to support young people’s participation in the production of material that will be used for training and information purposes.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
