Older People’s Residential and Nursing Homes Commissioner Maternity Cover 1 year
We’re offering exciting opportunities as a Commissioner in the Adult Social Care Commissioning Team with a responsibility for Locality or Older People’s Residential and Nursing Homes. You will work in a team of skilled Commissioners across the relevant market providers in the Adult Social Care portfolio.
We are looking for dynamic, motivated individuals who can create new, innovative approaches and engage with a multiplicity of stakeholders at all levels across the sector, enabling us to deliver successful solutions that support the commissioning of care and support in line with the Adult Social Care Strategy (Making a Difference Every Day) and the broader Health and Care system. You will form part of a committed team of Commissioners, driving improvement in all that we do.
The Person
Adaptability, flexibility, confidence, and a commitment to partnership are essential skills for the role. You will need to be brave, innovative, collaborative and be committed to using your strong commissioning skills to drive real change and impact for the people of Kent.
You must be able to demonstrate good original thinking and have the ability to communicate to challenge, influence and work alongside a complex range of internal and external stakeholders.
This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
The role is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
