Commercial/Procurement Lead

Role Responsibility

We currently have a number of exciting opportunities, for a Commercial/Procurement Lead to join our dynamic and growing team.

Reporting to the Procurement and Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for leading commercial procurement in a specific category of work such as property or highways.

Using your experience and market/category intelligence you will successfully deliver a portfolio of commissioning project within these categories.  

You will use your flair and in depth commercial knowledge to shape and drive the commercial and sourcing strategies delivering lean and efficient commissioning activity including effective end to end procurement.

 You will work closely with the Procurement and Commercial Manager and operational colleagues and stakeholders, developing strong collaborative relationships within and outside of the Council.

You will need to demonstrate your commercial leadership and judgement with good experience of the commissioning cycle within a complex, regulated and changing environment.

There are 3 posts available (1 post for Highways/Civils Category and 2 posts for Property/Construction Category). Please note that although you may specialise in one category, you may be expected to work flexibly across all categories as and when the need arises.
