Commercial Manager
Role Responsibility
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Strategic Commissioning Commercial team as a Commercial Manager. With one post confirmed, there may be the opportunity to appoint up to two Commercial Managers in total.
The successful candidates will be able to evidence extensive commercial and procurement experience along with managing teams and competing priorities.
Together with possessing strong commissioning, procurement, financial and project management skills, you will be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders inside and outside of the Council. The confirmed post will work predominately with the Growth Environment and Transport (GET) directorate to deliver the work pipeline which will include a number of highly complex projects to support its business objectives.
The confirmed post will require you to work closely with the Procurement and Commercial Manager and operational colleagues and stakeholders. You will need to demonstrate your commercial leadership and judgement with good experience of the commissioning cycle within a complex, regulated and changing environment. You will also need to work well under pressure as this is a fast-paced role.
You will ensure continuous improvement in processes, policies and practice and work closely within the Commercial Team.
